Custom Mobility, based in Largo, FL (St. Pete-Tampa area) has developed as a specialist in custom adaptive wheelchairs. Having a custom fabrication department allows the ATP to develop solutions and solve problems on an individual basis for their clients.
The company has an opening in Southwest Florida to further develop this growing area. The ATP would need to reside in the area from Port Charlotte to Naples. The coverage area includes the counties of Charlotte, Lee, Collier, and Hendry. The work requires both pediatric and adult wheelchair positioning skills and other complex rehab equipment experience.
This position evaluates and delivers wheelchairs and complex rehab equipment in private homes, nursing homes, hospitals, schools or clinic settings. The ATP is responsible for performing evaluations, working with therapists to develop the most suitable seating and positioning system in the most appropriate wheelchair frame.
The ATP is responsible for promptly submitting completed order forms and other required documentation pertaining to the evaluation. Must be knowledgeable of and follow regulations, HIPAA standards and all standards and codes of conduct relating to the evaluation and delivery of CRT.
Once funding is secured, and the product is assembled, the ATP is responsible for prompt delivery, adjustment and fitting to the client. This position is responsible for submitting any follow-up work that develops during the delivery of the product to the client.
Job Requirements:
This position requires an established work history, proven skills in tasks related to this industry. Applicant must be familiar and abide by the standards established thru industry accrediting agencies and NRRTS.
The applicant must be extremely detail oriented and very organized. Must be skilled with hand tools and be familiar with the various service requirements of manual and power wheelchairs and seating and positioning components. Must have experience performing growth adjustments.
Applicant must also have established customer service skills, & computer experience. A clear driving record and a Level II background check with fingerprinting will be required. Must have clear record to allow entrance into the Florida school systems.
Position requires driving for extended periods. Applicant must be able to interact with many staff members and business contacts in a professional manner and through performance, establish a rapport of trust and confidence with our clients, clinicians, referral sources, staff and vendors, etc.
