The Rehab Equipment Technician is responsible for the assembly, delivery and education in the use of home medical equipment to patients of the company. Responsible for routine and complex repairs in the field. This particular location has an extremely high focus on complex rehab equipment and is partnered with a local spinal cord facility.
Schedule and deliver equipment to patients’ homes and/or facility
Assembles seating and mobility equipment and makes necessary modifications
Demonstrate and explain the usage of HME equipment
Perform equipment maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines
Orders products and monitors tracking information
Obtains return authorizations when needed and monitors to ensure timely return of goods
Provides consistent and thorough updates in accordance with company policies.
Updates account records (Salesforce) promptly with all email and phone communications and attach all pertinent back-up documentation.
Maintains acceptable levels on all KPI’s in place for specific position.
Attend all mandatory annual education programs to ensure safety of him/herself, other employees, patients and visitors
Adhere to Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbook, OSHA, Infection Control, Federal, State and accrediting organization practice/standards/regulations.
High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred or a combination of education and work experience.
Three years’ experience as a durable medical equipment technician
Strong focus on complex rehab equipment a plus
Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Highly organized self starter
Ability to develop, organize and coordinate paperwork flow.
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing and to work effectively with a wide range of people, including referral sources, service agencies, co-workers, and management.
Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
