We currently have an outstanding full-time opportunity for a Rehabilitation Engineer to be part of our Pediatric Assistive Technology Service. Partnered with our expert PT, OT, & ST practitioners will provide low tech and high tech customized patient solutions in AT areas including seating, positioning, mobility, computer/phone/environmental access, alternative and augmentative communication.
New graduates welcome. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, biomedical or related) with specialization in health and rehabilitation sciences preferred. Knowledge of principles of design, ergonomics, bio mechanics, mechanical and electrical systems, material sciences, and life sciences. Understanding of functional capabilities of people with disabilities. Requires strong clinical and communication skills, and work collaboratively with professionals, children and families.
