This position maintains the unique inventory of equipment used by patients to support/ assist them with mobility and activities addressed in the rehabilitation process. The person maintains the equipment and also provides support to the equipment located in the gymnasiums. The person in the position assists the therapy staff and the patients by providing input for appropriate positioning to ensure safety, optimize function, and provide comfort. The position is essential in the maintenance of safety and therapeutic durability of equipment.
Must have 1 year experience working with adaptive equipment, specifically wheelchair seating and positioning. Certification as SMS or ATP or willingness to obtain within 1 year no greater than 2 years’ time of hire. Must maintain certification Bi-annually and submit certification renewal to Manager.
