The Department of Disability and Human Development Assistive Technology Unit (ATU) at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistive Technology Specialist position in the area of physical therapy.
We seek a candidate to carry out the following responsibilities:
•Analyze referral paperwork to determine past seating and wheeled mobility efforts •Discuss current goals with client, family members, therapists, and teachers •Perform product searches •Identify appropriate 3rd party payers •Produce required documentation •Communicate with 3rd party payers
Bachelor’s degree required in in Physical Therapy. Master’s Degree preferred. RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) credential preferred. Requires prior experience in Assistive Technology service delivery.
