The preferred candidate will serve as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in our Center for Rehabilitation Technology, providing evaluation and treatment with a variety of patient populations in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The candidate will serve as an integral member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. The candidate will be responsible for learning and utilizing appropriate documentation and billing procedures for Medicare and other insurance providers, as well as writing justifications for reimbursement.
Clinical expertise in rehabilitation with a variety of patient populations, pediatric through geriatric. Knowledge of rehabilitation equipment, wheeled mobility systems, seating and positioning, ambulation assistance. ATP or SMS certification and/or willingness to become certified preferred, hospital assistance for training is available.
New York State license as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist and one year post licensure experience.
