Dynamic and experienced Physical Therapist to join our in-house rehabilitation program as a seating and wheelchair mobility specialist. In this role you will assess and treat postural and seating deficits for minimally and non-ambulatory adults with advanced progressive neurological conditions. Duties include designing effective and functional seating systems accommodating severe spasticity and pain management, trialing modified and alternative drive control systems for power mobility access, collaborating with other therapists and vendors to select the most appropriate equipment for clients, and composing letters of medical necessity to secure funding for seating equipment.
A Physical Therapist licensed to practice in Massachusetts with 3 to 5 years in interventions for individuals with quadriplegia and severe neurological disorders. Experience with power chair mobility, management of spasticity, basic functionality of assistive technology and possess an affinity to an interdisciplinary team approach. Demonstrate a resident focused approach with a creative self motivated style that promotes positive motivation in your clients. Preferred experience in electronic documentation, skills in orthopedic management of joint contractures, lymphedema and modalities.
Additional Salary Information: Competitive commensurate with experience.
